Croatia Introduces Digital Nomad Visa Extension

Croatia recently updated its Digital Nomad Visa program to allow digital nomads to stay in the country for up to three years.

Previously, digital nomads could stay for one year, and apply for a six month extension. Now digital nomads can apply for an 18 month residence permit, and have the opportunity to renew for an additional 18 months.

If their application is approved, digital nomads can now be joined by their close family members.

To stay in Croatia, digital nomads need to show proof of employment “for a company or his own company that is not registered in the Republic of Croatia and does not perform work or provide services to employers in the Republic of Croatia.”

Digital nomads also need to have a minimum monthly income of €3,295. If they intend to stay for 12 months, they need to show they have at least €39,540 in their bank account. €59,310 is required for an 18 month stay.
